Where can I find engineering standards?
Answer
ASTM Standards
ASTM International (originally known as the American Society for Testing and Materials) is a trusted source for technical standards for materials, products, systems, and services.
Deveraux Library Services has a full set of ASTM Standards available in print next to the Library Service Desk.
Go to https://tinyurl.com/ASTMindex
In the search bar, enter keywords
Select applicable standard (will start ASTM ......)
Locate the Book of Standards volume and the corresponding ASTM number.
Find the required volume and search within the book by looking for the corresponding ASTM Number.

Free ISO Standards for Classroom Use
ANSI offers engineering faculty an opportunity to use several normally expensive standards for free in-class use. This program is called the American National Standards Institute’s University Outreach Pilot Program.
According to their webpage, ANSI "will provide free access to faculty and students to any defined group of standards currently available in the collections of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), which contain nearly 20,000 standards." To be eligible, you will need to know exactly which standard(s) you will need access to.
To sign up for this free access, university faculty need to fill out an online form that talks about the class and addresses how the class would use the standards.
Some ISO standards, usually older ones, may be available for free on the web.
Standards are not usually available through Interlibrary Loans (ILL) but can be obtained in some instances.
